He was Head of Research and strategist for India at DSP Merrill Lynch. He helped build the research team as the leading research provider in India as well as one of the top institutional brokers in the country. As a strategist and analyst, Jyoti was rated amongst the top in India by leading institutional investors and figured in the Top 5 leading vote getters regularly. The DSP Merrill research team was consistently ranked top 3 in India in investor surveys. In the 15 years he headed research, the team was No 1 in the Institutional Investor survey on 4 occasions. Jyoti served as a member of the Board of Directors of DSP Merrill Lynch, the Asia Pacific Research Executive Committee and Operating Committee, the India Country Leadership Team (CLT) and other management committees.
